Ben's Questions

1. Explain what a bit and what it does.

A bit is the way computers store information. it allows for information to be saved replicated and viewed.

2. List three positive and 3 negative attributes caused by computers.

 Positive: Easy Communication, Anonymity, The Spread of knowledge

Negative: Anonymity,  Monitoring people,  Lack of real social interaction

3. How does the new digital world lessen  face to face communication?

 The new digital world lessens face to face communication by allowing people to communicate anytime anywhere with anyone. This reduces the need to actually be with a person when communicating.

4. Explain in three sentences how data never really goes away.

Data never really goes away because it can be copied easily. When data is released someone or something is likely to copy it. weather or not it was meant to be copied or not it will never go away as long as people or things keep doing that.

Question 3

Computing has already changed society. Nearly everything is online and if it isn't it will be soon. People shop, read, learn, and socialize online. Even when socializing in person you are likely to be using technology like at a store checkout or watching TV while eating lunch with a friend. Computing will continue to change society like it already has.
